Music

The music ministry of Signal Mt. Baptist Church involves anyone who would like to participate in singing and in worship. There are many ways to participate in the music of our church.

The children’s choirs involve children three years old through the fifth grade.  The children’s choir leaders not only prepare the children to sing in worship, but they, also, teach them the fundamentals of music including sight-reading skills and other important musical skills. Besides teaching music, the leaders teach the children about what it means to worship God with their hearts and their voices.

The Sanctuary Choir is the primary service choir of the church. This choir rehearses weekly to prepare for Sunday worship and for special seasons such as Christmas and Easter. This choir is open to any adult who is willing to rehearse regularly and sing in worship.

Our church, also, has a handbell choir which is open to youth and adults who wish to develop their ringing skills and lead in worship from time to time, especially for special programs.

Finally, our congregation is a significant part of the music ministry of our church as those in attendance participate in congregational singing in our Sunday services. Congregational singing is a very important part of the morning worship service each and every Sunday.
